Day 26 - Exploration
NavigationalIn my travels I have isolated two forms of journey. A journey to complete a goal (get from A-B) and a journey to explore. The latter is much harder to do without being constrained by a map or without one, getting lost.
Solution 1 - All roads lead to roam
This tool allows a user to explore an area freely. By drawing an area they wish to explore, a user can then forget the map and just enjoy the city. As he reaches the edge of his drawn area, his phone gradually starts to vibrate to let him know.
Solution 2 - Subtle City Circles
By repurposing road markings, cities could be assume subtle navigational spheres. Rather than a signpost which is easy to miss (especially if you're not using the main pedestrian paths) these continuous lines allow users to divide the city into zones they want to stay and explore within.
